Chamney Family Second Reunion

Friday, November 11, 2011

Members of the Chamney family met at the CDR on October 4th. Celebrating its second annual reunion, they shared stories of growing up on the farm site as well as tour the new buildings and renovations. Family members came from as far away as Hawaii and included Marie, the Chamney elder who reflected on the farm’s past. Students in the Design PhotoMedia major documented the day with a showing of stills and videos to be presented soon at the Fine Arts building. The family brought numerous tools and milk cartons that were used when the farm was functioning and were photographed with these (insert) in front of the iconic barn. The FarmHouse is currently undergoing interior renovations and many of the photos and the tools will be placed on permanent display when the work has been completed. We look forward to next year’s reunion when all the buildings will be operational.
