KU Chancellor and Provost visit the CDR

Monday, September 5, 2011

KU Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little and Provost Jeffery Vitter were given a tour of the new facility on Friday. The CDR is an important new resource and sends a strong statement about the University’s commitment to sustainability and research towards new energy development and its use. While there, both the Chancellor and Provost went on camera to discuss the CDR, talk to alumni about the importance of Studio 804 and more. The video is being done by Lawrence Modern who’s mission is: “to raise awareness of midcentury and modern architecture in Lawrence and promote its preservation to ensure that future generations of Lawrencians will have significant examples to appreciate and or to live in.” More news about the video and its debut will be posted here in the near future
